Preventative Maintenance

Preventative maintenance comes in many forms. We strive to best fit a plan around the needs of your HVAC equipment, as well as your personal goals and requests. Our preventative maintenance offerings range from simple visual inspections and filter changes to in depth inspections and system testing. Contact us with any questions, and we will work with you to build plans and pricing around your needs. We perform preventive maintenance on residential and commercial systems. Normal system checkup timeframes are generally 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month intervals, however this may vary depending on the specific task and needs of the system or environment. After every system checkup we will provide you with the details of what we did and found. If any repairs are needed, we will recommend those to you along with an explanation of whether they are critical or preventative. There is never any pressure on you to move forward with any recommended repairs, we will always provide you with an honest assessment. Our goal is never to upsell our services, we aim to make sure all of our customers are well informed so that you can make a decision based on what's best for you. We take ownership in our work and pride in being able to help your HVAC system continue to be strong and healthy for years to come.

Filter changes are recommended at least every 6 months, however this will depend on your system environment and personal needs. If you wish to change the filters in your system more regularly than our scheduled visit, we very much encourage you to do so.

Preventative maintenance plays an important role in keeping your HVAC system running for years to come. Preventative maintenance can never guarantee that further repair and maintenance will not be needed, but it will help to increase the lifespan of your system and help to avoid costly repairs. The lifespan of HVAC systems depends on many factors, chief among them being consistent preventative maintenance and quality of installation, as well as the quality of previous work done on the system.

We offer three customizable tiers of plans:

Basic:

  • Filter replacement

  • Visual Inspection of indoor and outdoor unit including:

    • Bearings​

    • Belts

    • Capacitors

    • Contactors

    • Motors

    • Evaporator and Condenser coils

    • Misc other components

  • Repair recommendations (if needed) and an estimate of the repair cost.

Plus:

  • Filter Replacement

  • All Basic plan services

  • Indoor and outdoor coil cleaning

    • On mini splits we clean the indoor unit mesh pre-filter​

  • Coil cleaning on a yearly basis

    • plans can be customized to include additional coil cleaning visits depending on the system environment​

  • Repair recommendations (if needed) and an estimate of the repair cost.

Premium:

  • Filter replacement

  • All Basic and Plus plan services

  • Unit electrical check

    • Capacitor check​

    • Lug tightness and connection check

    • fan, compressor, and heat strip amperage reading (recorded to help monitor the health of the motors over time)

    • Contactor contacts cleaned

  • Condensate pump check and pipe cleanout

  • Repair recommendations (if needed) and an estimate of the repair cost.
